Day #3 of our ride around the Enchanted Circle in New Mexico. I had a nice Calzone after I posted about my day yesterday. So I put in today’s post. We left early in an attempt to beat the heat today. Started not long after 7am and ride for a little over 2 1/2 hours to get to Questa. We did see a few hot air Balloons not far outside of Taos this morning. Lots of climbing and some great downhills were experienced on today’s ride. I got up to 45.5 mph on one of the downhills, not my fastest ever but faster than I expected with the bags on the back of the bike. We checked in early at the Motel Sangre De Cristo and cooled off before a short walk to lunch and then a tour of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church. After that another short walk to the Questa visitors center where we met a very informative and friendly lady who had recently moved back to Questa. Next on the agenda was a trip to a coffee shop to make Stacy happy. Going to rest up a bit now and hopefully get some rain to cool things off. Maybe a short ride tonight and prepare for the ride to Red River, NM tomorrow. I did have another Green Chili cheeseburger and it was very good. The Chili’s were about as warm as I like-so it was perfect.
